Flowers, Stamps and Inks! Oh My….

Today I would like to share with you some handmade cards which features Close To My Heart’s August Stamp of the Month.

Isn’t this card fun? I found the design on Pinterest and I just knew I had to give it a go using Floral Celebration.

It is called Peekaboo Pullback or Collar Fold Card. It looks quite tricky however it’s very easy to assemble.

For my card I decided to used both Summer Vibes and Mix in Paper collections to complete these,

however this could be recreated in just about any paper you could think of.

The Instructions….

The piece I used for the Peekaboo Fold measures 4″ x 5 1/4″ and I like to use the pre-made card bases to create my cards.

To find the middle so you can create the fold is pretty simple maths…LOL

Half of 4″ is 2″ so you will go 2″ up and half of 5 1/4″ is 2 5/8″ so using those measurements I was able to find the middle.

Once you have cut that paper, fold over the flaps to create the Peekabook effect and as you can see this can be used in a number of different papers.

I used the flowers, leaves and sentiments from the August Stamp of the Month to complete my card.

On this card, I used clear shimmer brush, gold shimmer brush and gold stickles to add some sparkle to the flower and card itself.

This is the card that I show how to create in my YouTube video and I used Bitty Sparkles on the card to add a bit of “Something Something”.

I featured the flower from the stamp set however if you wanted a masculine card, you could add a car or the paper folded shirt I showed in a previous post.
